Hiren “Chico” Patel
Co-CEO
Founder and Managing Principal
Hiren “Chico” Patel founded Heritage Hospitality Group (formerly known as S&R Development) in 2006. Surrounded by the hospitality industry his entire life and by learning the ropes as a “hands-on” operator, he has become a master of constructing and operating profitable hotels that outperform the competition. Chico’s wealth of knowledge and attention to detail have driven hotel projects throughout the United States, including markets with high barriers to entry. He has earned the support of top-tier brands including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
As the team leader, Chico encourages everyone in the company to strive for excellence. He works daily with his senior staff in identifying new projects and maximizing results for the company’s partners.
Chico attended Mississippi State University, and resides in Ridgeland, MS with his wife and three children.
Mitesh “Mike” Patel
Co-CEO
President, Managing Principal
Mitesh “Mike” Patel joined Heritage Hospitality Group after graduating from Mississippi State University in 2007. He initially led the company’s division for developing residential assets, and transitioned into the hospitality division when commercial projects began to evolve.
Like his brother, Mike was surrounded by hotels his entire life. He learned every aspect of the business — from marketing and sales to front desk operations to housekeeping. Under Mike’s direction, many of the properties received excellent inspection scores and achieved high customer satisfaction ratings.
Mike is passionate about developing construction projects, which includes FF&E. Coupled with his creativity and ability to understand ever-changing floor plans, he has earned the trust of high-level hospitality brands.
Mike currently resides in Ridgeland, MS with his wife and two children.
Bhupender “Bruce” Patel
Co-CEO
Founder and Managing Principal
Bruce Patel has a comprehensive background in development, construction, and management. He grew up in the hospitality industry, began working as a maintenance engineer at a family-owned property at the age of 20, and developed an affinity for hotel management. After purchasing his first hotel at the age of 23, he began aggressively pursuing development deals including construction of his first new-build hotel in 2008.
Bruce holds the Certified Hotel Administrator designation, and is currently an approved owner/operator for the Hilton, Marriott, Choice Hotels, Wyndham, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Best Western brands. He has earned a reputation for integrity, commitment, and passion.
Kishan Gopal
VP of Construction and Design
In his role as the VP of Construction & Design, Kishan grew up immersed in the hospitality industry. His goals with Wealth Hospitality Group are to build quality products with a keen focus on value and cost-cutting. His vision encompasses an efficient construction process and business growth by delivering exceptional value and equity to investors.
Umang Mistry
Principal / Chief Investment Officer
Umang’s journey in the hospitality industry began at the young age of 13 when he started helping his parents operate their independent motel and for others shortly after. His passion for the industry led him to earn a degree in Economics and Business Administration, and he quickly rose through the ranks at Choice Hotels International, becoming one of the youngest directors in franchise development. His outstanding performance in helping franchisees and corporate surpass their goals earned him top performer recognition awards like Presidents Clubs. At Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Umang continued his success earning accolades such as Developer of the Year, and Presidents Club Awards.
As Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Wealth Hospitality Group, Umang is dedicated to making hotel ownership accessible to accredited investors across the USA and Canada. Since joining, he has helped develop over 14 hotels and plans to develop an additional 20+ hotels in high-barrier-to-entry markets over the next 3-5 years. Partnering with renowned brands like Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, and IHG, Umang is focused on creating valuable investment opportunities in the hospitality sector for accredited investors. Devan Patel
Principal
Stepping into the hospitality industry straight out of high school in 2011, Devan was thrust into the world of small-scale motel operations in Detroit, Michigan. As the child of Indian immigrants who were new to the industry and faced language barriers, Devan quickly took on significant responsibilities. Today, I am the proud owner and operator of 13 independent, non-branded motels in Michigan. His journey has also led him to acquire and develop over 10 hotels with Wealth Hospitality, alongside his partner Chico. They currently have over 20 projects in the pipeline in the Southeast and Northwest regions of the USA.
Devan’s partnership with Chico at Wealth Hospitality has been a game-changer, akin to finding a long-lost sibling. Their shared goals have allowed them to execute their plans with greater force. Their ambition is to continue acquiring and developing more hotels, now on a larger scale and in larger markets where the barrier to entry is high. Devan and Chico’s primary focus is on ground-up development and acquiring hotels below replacement cost.
Kirit Patel

Kirit Patel is a seasoned entrepreneur in hospitality. With valuable family motel experience, Kirit, alongside Devan Patel, crafted a diverse Midwest portfolio. In 2020, they joined Wealth Hospitality Group, honing skills with industry expert Chico Patel. Now, in 2023, they lead hotel developments in Florida and the Pacific Northwest. Kirit’s passion for transforming properties into thriving ventures exemplifies his commitment to excellence and innovation in the hotel industry. As a managing partner at Wealth Hospitality Group, Kirit remains a driving force, bringing his wealth of experience and dedication to every venture undertaken.
Ritesh Vaidya
Principal
Ritesh Vaidya has been a thriving entrepreneur since 2006, showcasing a versatile background that encompasses various industries including hospitality, real estate, retail, and healthcare. With a firm belief that entrepreneurship is not just a career but a mindset, he approaches business with a blend of passion, resilience, and a relentless drive to manifest innovative ideas into reality. Since 2017, Ritesh has delved into the hospitality sector, strategically aligning with prominent brands such as IHG, Choice Hotels, and Best Western, thereby expanding his portfolio and establishing a strong foothold in the industry.
In pursuit of his vision to propel corporations to greater heights, Ritesh Vaidya strategically directs his efforts at Wealth Hospitality Group towards penetrating high-barrier markets. Leveraging his entrepreneurial spirit and vast industry knowledge, he navigates the intricacies of these challenging landscapes, seeking out innovative solutions and forging strategic partnerships to establish a formidable presence and drive sustainable growth in these coveted sectors.
Ankit Desai
Director of Business Development
Ankit is a seasoned healthcare professional with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology. He has a diverse background that spans retail, academia, and corporate management. As a District Manager and Divisional Vice President in corporate America, he successfully managed over 400 retail stores, showcasing his leadership and operational prowess. In 2014, after becoming an entrepreneur, Ankit ventured into the Pharmacy, Restaurant, and Hydration IV businesses. He began his journey in the Hotel/Hospitality industry in 2019, working with renowned brands such as Sheraton and Marriott. His multifaceted career as a Pharmacist, Realtor, and Entrepreneur aligns perfectly with our vision at Wealth Hospitality Group.
