Hiren “Chico” Patel
Co-CEO
Founder and Managing Principal
Hiren “Chico” Patel founded Heritage Hospitality Group (formerly known as S&R Development) in 2006. Surrounded by the hospitality industry his entire life and by learning the ropes as a “hands-on” operator, he has become a master of constructing and operating profitable hotels that outperform the competition. Chico’s wealth of knowledge and attention to detail have driven hotel projects throughout the United States, including markets with high barriers to entry. He has earned the support of top-tier brands including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
As the team leader, Chico encourages everyone in the company to strive for excellence. He works daily with his senior staff in identifying new projects and maximizing results for the company’s partners.
Chico attended Mississippi State University, and resides in Ridgeland, MS with his wife and three children.
Mitesh “Mike” Patel
Co-CEO
President, Managing Principal
Mitesh “Mike” Patel joined Heritage Hospitality Group after graduating from Mississippi State University in 2007. He initially led the company’s division for developing residential assets, and transitioned into the hospitality division when commercial projects began to evolve.
Like his brother, Mike was surrounded by hotels his entire life. He learned every aspect of the business — from marketing and sales to front desk operations to housekeeping. Under Mike’s direction, many of the properties received excellent inspection scores and achieved high customer satisfaction ratings.
Mike is passionate about developing construction projects, which includes FF&E. Coupled with his creativity and ability to understand ever-changing floor plans, he has earned the trust of high-level hospitality brands.
Mike currently resides in Ridgeland, MS with his wife and two children.
Bhupender “Bruce” Patel
Co-CEO
Founder and Managing Principal
Bruce Patel has a comprehensive background in development, construction, and management. He grew up in the hospitality industry, began working as a maintenance engineer at a family-owned property at the age of 20, and developed an affinity for hotel management. After purchasing his first hotel at the age of 23, he began aggressively pursuing development deals including construction of his first new-build hotel in 2008.
Bruce holds the Certified Hotel Administrator designation, and is currently an approved owner/operator for the Hilton, Marriott, Choice Hotels, Wyndham, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Best Western brands. He has earned a reputation for integrity, commitment, and passion.
Manjulaben "Manju" Patel
Managing Principal
Manju played a pivotal role in the success of Wealth Hospitality Group from the
very beginning. Her journey in the hospitality industry began with the purchase of
the Patel family’s first hotel, a modest Economy Inn in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
Manju’s unwavering support and keen business acumen were instrumental in
navigating the challenges of the industry.
Over the years, Manju’s contributions have been invaluable as Wealth Hospitality
Group expanded its portfolio. Her strategic insights and dedication helped make
informed decisions that propelled their business forward. Manju’s meticulous
attention to detail and relentless work ethic have not only bolstered the success of
each new venture but also fostered a culture of excellence within the company. Her
partnership within Wealth Hospitality Group exemplifies the strength and impact of
collaborative leadership in the hospitality industry.
Kishan Gopal
VP of Construction and Design
In his role as the VP of Construction & Design, Kishan grew up immersed in the hospitality industry. His goals with Wealth Hospitality Group are to build quality products with a keen focus on value and cost-cutting. His vision encompasses an efficient construction process and business growth by delivering exceptional value and equity to investors.
Devan Patel
Principal
Stepping into the hospitality industry straight out of high school in 2011, I was thrust into the world of small-scale motel operations in Detroit, Michigan. As the child of Indian immigrants who were new to the industry and faced language barriers, I quickly took on significant responsibilities. Today, I am the proud owner and operator of 13 independent, non-branded motels in Michigan. My journey has also led me to acquire and develop over 10 hotels with Wealth Hospitality, alongside my partner Chico. We currently have over 20 projects in the pipeline in the Southeast and Northwest regions of the USA.
My partnership with Chico at Wealth Hospitality has been a game-changer, akin to finding a long-lost sibling. Our shared goals have allowed us to execute our plans with greater force. Our ambition is to continue acquiring and developing more hotels, now on a larger scale and in larger markets where the barrier to entry is high. Our primary focus is on ground-up development and acquiring hotels below replacement cost.
Kirit Patel
Principal
Kirit Patel is a seasoned entrepreneur in hospitality. With valuable family motel experience, Kirit, alongside Devan Patel, crafted a diverse Midwest portfolio. In 2020, they joined Wealth Hospitality Group, honing skills with industry expert Chico Patel. Now, in 2023, they lead hotel developments in Florida and the Pacific Northwest. Kirit’s passion for transforming properties into thriving ventures exemplifies his commitment to excellence and innovation in the hotel industry. As a managing partner at Wealth Hospitality Group, Kirit remains a driving force, bringing his wealth of experience and dedication to every venture undertaken.
Ritesh Vaidya
Principal
Ritesh Vaidya has been a thriving entrepreneur since 2006, showcasing a versatile background that encompasses various industries including hospitality, real estate, retail, and healthcare. With a firm belief that entrepreneurship is not just a career but a mindset, he approaches business with a blend of passion, resilience, and a relentless drive to manifest innovative ideas into reality. Since 2017, Ritesh has delved into the hospitality sector, strategically aligning with prominent brands such as IHG, Choice Hotels, and Best Western, thereby expanding his portfolio and establishing a strong foothold in the industry.
In pursuit of his vision to propel corporations to greater heights, Ritesh Vaidya strategically directs his efforts at Wealth Hospitality Group towards penetrating high-barrier markets. Leveraging his entrepreneurial spirit and vast industry knowledge, he navigates the intricacies of these challenging landscapes, seeking out innovative solutions and forging strategic partnerships to establish a formidable presence and drive sustainable growth in these coveted sectors.
Jerry Patel
Principal, Community Ambassador
Babu Jerry Patel is a hospitality professional with more than 45 years of experience, beginning with an independent motel in Tampa in 1980 and later developing multiple Days Inn, IHG, and Hilton branded hotels across Mississippi. His career reflects both business success and community involvement, earning recognition such as the 2022 AAHOA Outreach Award and the 2021 Citizen of the Year Award in Clinton.
Guided by his belief that “in joy of others lies our own,” Babu has supported numerous philanthropic causes, including Nora’s Home, the Children’s Hospital pediatric ward, disaster relief efforts, and cultural and educational initiatives. Married to Jaya for 46 years, he is a proud father and grandfather who continues to combine professional achievement with a strong commitment to family and community.
Rajiv Patel
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Rajiv Patel is a hospitality and construction professional with more than 30 years of experience in hotel operations, development, and project management. Beginning his career in the family hospitality business, he advanced from front-line roles to General Manager positions at brands including Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Wingate Inn, Ramada Limited, and Super 8 before transitioning into construction leadership in 2019.
As Project Manager for Wealth Hospitality Group and S&R Construction, Rajiv oversees ground-up developments, renovations, and assisted living projects across the Southeast and Pacific Northwest. His expertise includes project management, permitting, value engineering, subcontractor coordination, inspections, safety compliance, and investor relations, helping deliver high-quality hospitality projects on time and within budget.
Krutik Desai
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Krutik Desai is a Development Coordinator with Wealth Hospitality Group, overseeing the coordination and execution of more than eight active hospitality development projects. He supports every stage of the development process, collaborating with project managers, contractors, consultants, and brand representatives to help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to brand standards.
Krutik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a degree in Civil Engineering, providing him with a strong blend of business and technical expertise. Combined with his background in hospitality operations, his attention to detail, organizational skills, and collaborative approach make him a valuable member of the development team, helping drive successful hospitality developments across multiple markets.
Jaiman Patel
PROJECT MANAGER
Jaimin Patel is a Project Manager and Development Coordinator with Wealth Hospitality, overseeing all phases of hotel development from pre-development planning and budgeting through construction and project completion. He works closely with owners, consultants, contractors, and brand representatives to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to brand standards.
In addition to managing development projects, Jaimin supports investor relations by coordinating due diligence, providing project updates, and fostering strong relationships throughout the investment process. His collaborative, detail-oriented approach helps drive successful hospitality developments and long-term value for investors and partners.
Nishit "Nick" Patel
FINANCIAL ANALYST
Nishit “Nick” Patel is the analytical force behind Wealth Hospitality Group, bringing a distinctive blend of data analytics, finance, operations, and technology to every division of the company. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai, as well as an M.S. in Business Analytics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Nick began his journey with the company in payroll analysis before expanding into hotel operations, construction accounting, and portfolio-wide financial analysis. Today, he operates at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution—analyzing payroll, expenses, cash flow, EBITDA, and operational performance with a focus on driving profitability and enhancing the cap rate of the portfolio. Nick is also one of the company’s leading operational inspectors and plays a key role in inspections helping ensure that every property supersedes the company’s standards.
