Job Summary:
The Assistant COO – Financial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for a wide range of financial and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Management:
– Supervise and manage the payroll process, including calculating wages, taxes, deductions, and other withholdings accurately and on time.
– Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws governing payroll.
2. Tax Compliance:
– Coordinate and oversee all tax-related matters associated with payroll, such as payroll taxes, income taxes, and other tax filings.
– Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
3. Financial Management:
– Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
– Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
4. Banking and Loans:
– Manage the company’s banking relationships, including opening and closing accounts, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts.
– Secure loans and financing as needed to support business operations and growth.
5. Operating Agreements:
– Assist in the development and implementation of operating agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements.
– Ensure compliance with operating agreements and other legal requirements.
6. Investor Relations:
-Collaborate with investors to secure funding for new projects and business initiatives.
-Present financial proposals and investment opportunities to potential investors.
-Maintain strong relationships with investors and provide regular updates on project progress and financial performance.
Qualifications:
-Experience in the Hotel Hospitality Industry preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
– Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and financial management principles.
– Experience in banking operations, loan procurement, and property tax management.
– Knowledge of operating agreements and legal contracts.
– Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
